Los Angeles, CA - Taylor Swift falls in love in dramatic new video for latest single Willow as she sings: "Wherever You Stray, I Follow." Taylor Swift's romantic roots are growing deep. At midnight on December 11, 2020, the pop superstar dropped the music video for her new single, Willow, which is the first track off her surprise ninth studio album, evermore. In the video Swift picks up where she left off from her 'cardigan' video. Crawling back out into her piano - wearing her cardigan, of course - she emerges in a forest, under a willow tree by a lake. She sees herself reflected in the water - and then a guy appears next to her in the reflection and she puts her head on his shoulder. Swift then dives into the lake before making her way through a cinematic montage: first an innocent backyard childhood campout as a young girl and then a glass cage at a carnival from yesteryear followed by a witchy ceremony. While she's trapped in the glass cage, she plays a guitar while wearing a stunning white lace gown and flower tiara as her 'man' appears out of the crowd and walks towards her. At every encounter, her 'man' remains a constant presence at her side. As she appears at the witches circles he watches her from afar behind a mask before ripping it off as she disappears into the forest, following the golden string that takes her back to her cabin - where her man is waiting for her there. Co-written with The National's Aaron Dessner, the star — who's been dating actor Joe Alwyn since 2016 — sings of being deeply in love on the track. "The more that you say, the less I know/ Wherever you stray, I follow/ I'm begging for you to take my hand, wreck my plans/ That's my man," she sings in the chorus. *BACKGRID DOES NOT CLAIM ANY COPYRIGHT OR LICENSE IN THE ATTACHED MATERIAL.
