Cea de-a 66-a ediție a Festivalului de Film BFI de la Londra se va încheia cu „Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” de Rian Johnson, cu Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick și Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson și Dave Bautista în distribuție.

După ce va fi lansat la Toronto, filmul va avea premiera europeană la festival pe 16 octombrie, înainte de lansarea în cinematografele din Marea Britanie și lansarea ulterioară pe Netflix. Johnson, Craig, Norton, Monáe, Odom Jr., Hudson și Cline se așteaptă să fie prezenți la festival.

În continuarea hitului „Knives Out” al lui Johnson din 2019, Craig reia rolul detectivului Benoit Blanc, călătorind în Grecia pentru a îndepărta straturile unui mister care implică o nouă serie de suspecți. Ambele filme au fost produse de Johnson și Ram Bergman.

Johnson, a spus: „Sunt încântat să revin la LFF cu „Glass Onion”, este o onoare să închid festivalul și este un pic ca și cum aș reveni acasă.”

Tricia Tuttle, directorul BFI London Film Festival, a adăugat: „„Knives Out” a lui Rian Johnson a fost un succes major atunci când am găzduit premiera europeană la Festival în 2019. Publicul nostru a adorat spiritul filmului și a fost încântat de minunată tradiție a detectivilor britanici de pe ecran. Și aici, Rian Johnson ia din nou aurul cu ajutorul celei mai tari distribuții. Ca și predecesorul său, „Glass Onion” este distractiv și cultural în egală măsură, făcând câteva observații hilare și clare despre lumea în care trăim. Premiera europeană a filmului „Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” va avea loc în gala de închidere a celei de-a 66-a ediții a Festivalului de Film BFI de la Londra.”

După cum a scris deja publicația Variety, premiera mondială a filmului „Matilda the Musical” va deschide festivalul.

Festivalul are loc în perioada 5-16 octombrie. Programul complet va fi dezvăluit pe 1 septembrie.
