Telespectatorii MTV nu trebuie să rateze acest show, mai ales că Drake, Rihanna, Frank Ocean şi Katy Perry sunt favoriţii pentru ediţia de anul acesta a MTV Video Music Awards. „Take care”, videoclipul lui Drake a fost nominalizat la categoriile Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Art Direction şi Best Cinematography. Pe de altă parte, clipul „We found love” al Rihannei are 3 nominalizări, inclusiv pentru „Video of the year”.
