O minte genială, dar sadică dezlănțuie un mod bolnav de a face justiţie în filmul „Spiral: Următorul Capitol SAW” care va intra în cinematografele din România din 2 iulie.

Lucrând în umbra unui apreciat veteran al poliției (Samuel L. Jackson), detectivul Ezekiel „Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) și partenerul său începător (Max Minghella) se ocupă de o investigație a crimelor care amintesc într-un mod tulburator de trecutul înfiorător al orașului. Prins fără să vrea într-un mister care se adânceşte din ce în ce mai mult, Zeke se trezeşte în centrul jocului morbid al minţii criminale.


În timpul unei parade nocturne de 4 iulie, detectivul de serviciu Marv Bozwickîl urmărește pe un hoț îmbrăcat ca unchiul Sam pe o conductă murdară de canalizare. Atacat din spate de o persoană care purta o mască grotescă de porc, Bozwick se trezește pentru a se găsi suspendat de limbă într-un tunel activ de metrou. În timp ce se zbate în aer, un mesaj înregistrat îi oferă o soluție ciudată: smulge-ți limba mincinoasă din gură și trăiește, sau atârnă acolo și mori. Incapabil să scape din capcană, Bozwick este ucis de un tren de metrou care vine în viteza. A doua zi, detectivul Ezekiel „Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) îl întâlnește pe noul său partener, detectivul în pregătire William Schenk (Max Minghella).

În timp ce investighează teribila moarte de la metrou, Banks și Schenk descoperă că victima a fost un coleg polițist ucis într-o manieră care amintește de ucigașul în serie Jigsaw. Desemnat de căpitanul Angie Garza (Marisol Nichols) pentru a conduce echipa de investigații pentru acest caz, Banks și Schenk combină criminalistica digitală, imagini de supraveghere și dosare vechi de cazuri Jigsaw pentru a găsi răspunsuri.

Între timp, legendarul tată al Banks, șeful de poliție pensionat, Marcus Banks (Samuel L. Jackson), avertizează că lucrurile ar putea deveni foarte urâte dacă acesta este într-adevăr un imitator nebun al Jigsaw. Când un alt detectiv este găsit mort într-o capcană de coșmar, cu degetele rupte, Zeke își dă seama că cineva cu o vendetă personală împotriva Poliției South Metro țintește polițiști murdari.

„Spiral” este regizat de Darren Lynn Bousman, după un scenariu de Josh Stolberg și Peter Goldfinger. În rolurile principale îi veți regăsi pe: Chris Rock, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols și Samuel L. Jackson.
