James Cameron a prezentat primele imagini din „Avatar 2” și a dezvăluit titlul oficial al filmului

Filmmaker {James Cameron} is extending the world of {Avatar} by adding a fourth sequel to his franchise plans. The director scored a box office hit in 2009 with the release of the original fantasy blockbuster, which starred Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. It currently holds the title as the highest-grossing movie in history. He then announced there would be three follow-ups, with Avatar 2 scheduled to hit cinemas in late 2016, but last year (15), Cameron admitted the writing process was taking longer than expected, and the second instalment was postponed until Christmas, 2017. Cameron made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday (14Apr16), and offered up both good and bad news to fans. Addressing the crowds, he told devotees they would have to wait until the end of 2018 for Avatar 2, but then revealed he was adding an extra sequel to the timeline, taking the franchise tally to a total of five films. "We're making four epic films that stand alone but together form a saga," he declared, according to Deadline.com. "These movies were designed to be seen in theatres first." He went on to insist the films would be worth the wait, continuing, "I've been working with the top four screenwriters and designers in the world to design the world of Avatar going forward. The environments, new cultures... From what I'm seeing, the art on the wall... in pure imagination is just beyond the first film. I'm speechless." Lungmetrajul „Avatar: The Way of Water” va fi lansat în cinematografe la sfârșitul anului. Disney a dezvăluit, miercuri, la Las Vegas, primele imagini ale sequelului „Avatar”, care rămâne numărul unu în box office-ul mondial în ceea ce privește încasările. Noul film, potrivit regizorului său, James Cameron, va „împinge limitele cinematografiei”.

Actori care au făcut roluri foarte bune în filme slabe sau mediocre

Participanții la CinemaCon, un eveniment dedicat proprietarilor de cinematografe, au fost invitați să-și pună ochelari 3D pentru a urmări teaserul „Avatar: The Way of Water” și a se întoarce pe planeta Pandora, unde i-au putut vedea pe locuitorii cu pielea albastră înotând și zburând.

„Pot să vă asigur că a meritat așteptarea”, a spus managerul de distribuție Disney Tony Chambers, confirmând titlul ales pentru a doua parte a francizei „Avatar”, potrivit Variety.

Lansarea va avea loc la 13 ani după primul film, pe 16 decembrie, și ar trebui să fie urmată de alte trei părți din această saga, al cărei film original a avut încasări de aproximativ 2,8 miliarde de dolari de la lansarea sa, în 2009. Fiecare parte va fi un film independent de celelalte, cu intrigă proprie. Cele patru filme vor reprezenta, însă, împreună, „o saga epică și mai mare”, a spus producătorul Jon Landau.

Landau a vorbit cu participanții la CinemaCon din Noua Zeelandă, unde James Cameron face ultimele retușuri pentru „Avatar 2”. El le-a promis progrese tehnologice uluitoare față de primul „film Avatar”, ai cărui protagoniști principali Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) și Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) au acum o familie.

Marile studiouri și-au prezentat superproducțiile viitoare la CinemaCon

Seful Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, a fost cel care a deschis prezentarea pentru Disney. Participanții au putut descoperi fragmente din „Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, care va fi lansat în cinematografele românești pe 6 mai și care îl are în rolul principal pe Benedict Cumberbatch.

Filmul va fi urmat, anul acesta, de alte două superproducții dedicate supereroilor celebri, „Thor” și „Black Panther”.

Pixar a dezvăluit treizeci de minute din „Buzz Lightyear”, o poveste despre astronautul îndrăzneț din saga „Toy Story”, căreia Chris Evans îi împrumută vocea.

În film, programat pentru lansare în iunie, Buzz este cuprins de vinovăție după ce i-a determinat pe colegii săi să meargă pe o planetă ostilă. Pentru a încerca să-i salveze, el trebuie să se proiecteze în viitor, având ca însoțitor un robot-pisică. La CinemaCon a mai fost prezentat „Amsterdam”, un film romantic polițist plasat în anii 1930, cu o mulțime de vedete, printre care Christian Bale, Robert De Niro, Margot Robbie și Chris Rock.
