Celebrul show TV „The X Factor”, anulat după 17 ani de difuzare

Popularul show TV al lui Simon Cowell „The X Factor” a fost anulat după 17 ani, a confirmat broadcasterul ITV, din Marea Britanie.

„Nu există planuri actuale pentru următoarea serie  „The X Factor„, în acest moment, a declarat un purtător de cuvânt al ITV, pentru publicația Variety.

Creată de Simon Cowell,  emisiunea „The X Factor” a început să fie difuzată în 2004 şi, pe parcursul a 15 sezoane, a avut 445 de episoade. Show-ul a fost produs de Thames a Fremantle şi de compania lui Cowell, Syco Entertainment.

Următorul proiect al lui Cowell este un concurs muzical intitulat „Walk The Line”, dezvoltat pentru ITV şi platforma ITV Hub.

Artişti cântă pe scenă în faţa unui juriu condus de Cowell. Primii doi clasaţi ai serii sunt apoi reevaluaţi şi fie primesc un premiu în bani şi părăsesc competiţia, fie merg mai departe şi continuă concursul. Cu cât artiştii stau mai mult în concurs, cu atât mai mare este premiul.

Formatul este co-produs şi co-dezvoltat de Syco Entertainment şi Lifted Entertainment, parte a ITV Studios, şi de echipele din spatele show-urilor de succes „I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” şi „Love Island” de la ITV.

În luna februarie a anului trecut, înainte de decretarea pandemiei, a fost anunţat că „The X Factor” ia o pauză în 2020 şi că urmează să revină în 2021. După cârteva luni, au apărut informaţii cărora este posibil ca emisiunea să fie anulată.

Emisiunea a fost cel mai important proiect al lui Cowell de până acum. Pe lângă vânzarea formatului peste tot în lume, a lansat carierele unora ca One Direction, Little Mix, Leona Lewis şi Olly Murs.
