Cu 355,5 milioane de vizualizări, primul trailer al noii aventuri a Omului Păianjen, „Spider-Man: No Way Home”, a devenit cel mai vizionat videoclip de gen din lume în 24 de ore. „Spider-Man: No Way Home” a doborât, astfel, un record vechi de trei ani, stabilit de filmul „Avengers Endgame”. Trailerul acestuia a fost vizionat de peste 289 de milioane de ori în 2018.

Cifra stabilită de „No Way Home” este cu atât mai impresionantă cu cât trailerul pentru al doilea film „Spider-Man” cu Tom Holland în rolul principal, „Far From Home”, a fost vizionat „doar” de 135 de milioane de ori în douăzeci și patru de ore, în 2018. Filmul, lansat în vara anului 2019, a avut un succes uriaș. Cu 1,131 de miliarde de dolari în box office-ul mondial, „Far From Home” este cel mai mare succes al studioului Sony.

Având premiera programată pentru 15 decembrie, „Spider-Man: No Way Home” este inspirat din banda desenată „One More Day” (2007), creată de scenaristul Joseph Michael Straczynski și caricaturistul Joe Quesada. Pe măsură ce identitatea sa secretă este dezvăluită, Peter trebuie să găsească o modalitate de a face lumea să uite că este Spider-Man.

Noul film este continuarea seriei care a debutat cu „Homecoming”, din 2017, și „Far from Home”. Până în prezent au fost realizate nouă filme care îl au ca personaj principal pe Omul-Păianjen. Peliculele au avut încasări totale de 2,49 de miliarde de dolari la nivel mondial.
