În prezent, succesul starurilor poate fi măsurat prin vizionările de pe Netflix sau HBO Max. Un salariu de 20 de milioane de dolari per rol a fost mult timp standardul industriei pentru talentele de top, din 1996, când Jim Carrey a uimit Hollywood-ul câștigând această sumă pentru „The Cable Guy”.
