Robert De Niro s-ar fi rănit la un picior în timp ce filma pentru „Killers of the Flower Moon”, viitorul lungmetraj al veteranului Martin Scorsese.

Actorul s-ar fi îndreptat spre New York pentru tratament, după ce s-a rănit în Oklahoma, unde au loc filmările. O sursă a declarat pentru platforma TMZ că De Niro nu era pe platouri la momentul incidentului și încă nu se știe cât de gravă este problema medicală a starului american în vârstă de 77 de ani.

Nu există nicio indicație dacă producția filmului va fi amânată pe termen lung. Un reprezentant al actorului a confirmat informația pentru Fox News, adăugând că De Niro oricum avea „programat să plece la New York timp de două săptămâni, astfel încât incidentul nu influențează programul de producție”.

„Killers of the Flower Moon”, care îi are în rolurile principale pe Robert De Niro și Leonardo DiCaprio, se bazează pe o carte omonimă de non-ficțiune, semnată de David Grann, despre o serie de crime din anii 1920 care au afectat nativii din triburile Osage din Oklahoma, într-o perioadă în care în zonă fuseseră descoperite zăcăminte de petrol.

Filmul are un buget de peste 200 de milioane de dolari, ceea ce îl face cel mai scump proiect al lui Scorsese de până în prezent.

În ciuda speculațiilor anterioare potrivit cărora filmul va fi difuzat pe Netflix, „Killers of the Flower Moon” va fi lansat pe Apple TV +. De Niro îl interpretează pe puternicul fermier William Hale, în timp ce DiCaprio îl joacă pe nepotul său, Ernest Burkhart. În distribuție mai apar Lilly Gladstone, Jesse Plemons și vedetele muzicii country Jason Isbell și Sturgill Simpson.

La începutul acestei săptămâni, Apple TV + a lansat o primă imagine oficială din film, cu DiCaprio și Gladstone.
