Trailerul pentru viitoarea serie „Obi-Wan Kenobi”, care va fi difuzată pe Disney+, a fost lansat.

Clipul, pe care îl poți viziona mai jos, începe cu Ewan McGregor, care interpretează rolul titular al seriei din franciza „Star Wars”, stând pe dunele de nisip din Tatooine, examinând un tânăr Luke Skywalker. Trailerul îl mai prezintă pe noul dușman al lui Obi-Wan, Inchizitorul Reva, interpretat de Moses Ingram („The Queen’s Gambit”), care se întâlnește cu unchiul Owen al lui Skywalker, interpretat de Joel Edgerton. Trailerul a fost lansat după ce, miercuri, au fost publicate mai multe imagini din serie, potrivit The Hollywood Reporter.

Acțiunea seriei „Obi-Wan Kenobi” are loc la zece ani după evenimentele din filmul „Star Wars” din 2005, „Războiul stelelor – Episodul III: Răzbunarea Lorzilor Sith”. În acest film, Kenobi a asistat la prăbușirea celui mai bun prieten și ucenic Jedi al său, Anakin Skywalker, care s-a îndreptat către partea întunecată ca Lordul Sith Darth Vader.

„Îl găsim pe Obi-Wan la începutul poveștii noastre destul de distrus, lipsit de credință și învins, oarecum pare că a renunțat”, a declarat McGregor pentru Entertainment Weekly.

Regizoarea serialului, Deborah Chow, a adăugat despre Inchizitorul Reva că personajul este „nemilos de ambițios”, în timp ce Ingram l-a comparat cu Marele Inchizitor și cu Darth Vader. „Ei împărtășesc un obiectiv comun al părții întunecate. Sunt în aceeași echipă”, a spus ea, înainte de a adăuga că „totul este din inimă” în ceea ce privește ambiția lui Reva.

Anul trecut, șefa francizei „Războiul Stelelor” Kathleen Kennedy a discutat despre reuniunea „incredibil de emoționantă” a lui McGregor și Hayden Christensen, care a interpretat personajul Luke Skywalker și în trecut.

Data premierei serialului este 25 mai, marcând, de asemenea, 45 de ani de la lansarea filmului „Star Wars: A New Hope”.
